PCIG to seek full division status, vote at 2015 business meeting

7/15/2015

The Political Communication Interest Group is now five years old and has more than 200 members. Given this growth, the executive leadership of PCIG would like to pursue full division status within AEJMC this year. Full division status will increase the visibility of political communication scholarship within AEJMC, afford us more programming slots at the annual conference, and provide other benefits for our members.

This email is to let you know that we will be holding a special vote of our members at PCIG's business meeting at the AEJMC conference in San Francisco to decide whether to pursue full division status during 2015-2016. The business meeting will be held on Friday, August 7th from 6:45pm-8:15pm. We encourage you to attend the meeting so that your voice can be heard as we discuss and vote on this important next step for PCIG and its members.

If you have any questions about this process, please feel free to contact me (lauren.feldman@rutgers.edu), or Emily Vraga (evraga@gmu.edu), who is PCIG's incoming Head.

Thank you for your continued interest in and support of PCIG!
